Rosh HaShanah and Various Updates

L'shanah tovah!

Tonight marked the new year in the Jewish harvest calendar, so we celebrated. Some of us went to a synagogue. We didn't understand any of it, but we had a good time getting there and coming back. The ladies had to go up to the balcony, and the gentlemen borrowed kippot and got to stay in the main area. It was a neat new experience, but I feel weird about it.

We came back, and a few of us went on the roof to sing some and exchange stories. We had a good time.

And yesterday, the field study went very well.

For those praying for Nate - thank you. He's back to his normal self, and the field study went over fine.

As you can see in the below pictures, we had a great time climbing some "stepping stones" from the 19th century. That is, 19th century BC. :D

Yes... we fit five of us on top of this rock.

While this picture captures the awkwardness of the
boys' hug, it also captures the need to hold on to
one another. I enjoy climbing this stuff, but I was
pretty terrified about falling.

Awesome climbing picture. :D
More adventuring stories to come! Stay tuned!
